What we collect
- Your account: email, password (stored hashed by our auth provider), the name you give us, and optionally your university and faculty.
- What you study: files you upload (PDFs, slides, photos of notes), the flashcards, quizzes and summaries made from them, your tutor conversations while they run, your review and quiz progress, XP and study plans.
- Study Groups: the groups you join and the material you share there. Group mates see your display name, what you share and your weekly XP.
- Payments: the plan you bought, the amount and the payment status. Card and wallet details go straight to Paymob. We never see or store them.
- Teacher’s notes: short notes your tutor keeps between lessons (for example, a topic you found tricky). You can see and delete them any time under “What I remember” in Learn.
- Usage counts: how many tutor messages and uploads you used, to apply your plan’s limits.
Why we use it
To run Eduro for you: to make study material from your files, answer your questions, schedule your reviews, run your groups and apply your plan. We don’t sell your data and we don’t use it for advertising.
Who processes it for us
- Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage.
- AI providers (Anthropic’s Claude, through OpenRouter): the text of your question and the relevant parts of your material, plus your name, faculty, upcoming exam titles, topics you found hard and your teacher’s notes (so it can teach you personally), are sent to them to write an answer, read a photo, or draw a visual. They process it to answer and do not use it to train their models under our API terms.
- Paymob: payments.
- Sketchfab, PubChem and the RCSB Protein Data Bank: when you open a 3D model, molecule or protein, your browser loads it from them, so they see your IP address. Nothing else about you is sent.
- Our hosting providers: run the website and the AI service.
Some of these providers store data outside Egypt. We only use providers that protect it with security measures at least as strong as ours.
How long we keep it
Your account data and material stay until you delete them or your account. Tutor conversations are not saved after you leave the page. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires.
Your rights
You can see, correct, download or delete your personal data, and withdraw consent, at any time. Delete a lecture from your library and it is removed with everything made from it. To delete your whole account or get a copy of your data, email support@eduro.app from your account’s address and we’ll do it within 30 days.
Age
Eduro is made for university students. You must be at least 18, or have a parent’s or guardian’s permission, to use it.
